Lynxes of Iberia
Iberian Icons
The Iberian lynx (Lynx pardinus) is a critically endangered cat, with around 100 individuals left. They inhabit the scrub forests and grasslands of the Iberian Peninsula, preying on rabbits and small mammals. Habitat destruction and hunting have driven them to the brink. Do we really need their pelts for luxury?
Spotted Survivors
These lynxes control prey populations, maintaining the balance of their ecosystem. Their decline is a loss for Iberia’s natural heritage. Protecting their habitat ensures their survival and the health of the ecosystem. Conservation efforts must focus on habitat restoration and anti-poaching measures.
