Campaign Against Landmines
One of Diana’s most significant contributions was her campaign against landmines. In January 1997, she visited Angola to highlight the dangers of landmines. Her involvement in the issue was instrumental in the signing of the Ottawa Treaty later that year, which aimed to ban the use of landmines worldwide. Her efforts saved countless lives and brought attention to the ongoing dangers in post-conflict areas.
