Tarsiers: Nocturnal Acrobats
Remarkable Eye Size
Tarsiers have the largest eyes relative to body size of any mammal. These enormous eyes help them see in the dark, making them excellent nocturnal hunters. Each eye is as large as their brain, providing exceptional night vision for spotting insects and small prey in the dense forest.
Leaping Abilities
Tarsiers are also known for their impressive leaping abilities. They can jump up to 40 times their body length in a single bound. This agility allows them to navigate through the forest canopy with ease, catching insects mid-air and avoiding predators efficiently.
