Dean Smith, an aspiring bank robber from Treorchy, Wales, took criminal ineptitude to new heights. After going to his local Barclays branch to change his address, he returned 30 minutes later in a poor disguise consisting of sunglasses and socks over his shoes to rob the place. Unsurprisingly, the cashier refused, and Smith fled. Police had no trouble tracking him down, and he was jailed for two-and-a-half years.
