Remember That Your Cat Is Sensitive to the Cold
Cats might be fluffy, but they are sensitive to cold weather. It’s important not to leave them outside at night during the winter months. Cats typically have a body temperature of about 100-102°F, and many vets recommend keeping your home at least 70°F to ensure your cat stays warm and comfortable.
If you’ve noticed your cat getting closer to your heater or fireplace, or trying to get under a blanket, it might be a sign that they are feeling too cold.
