It’s All in the Details
Coyotes have become increasingly troublesome across the U.S., venturing into urban areas and proving hard to deter. This might explain why someone from the California park service created a rather unique sign. At first glance, it looks like a typical warning about wild animals, but a closer inspection reveals something different in the fine print. It humorously advises people to contact authorities if they see a coyote “carrying a box marked ‘ACME.'”
This, along with other items in the fine print, are playful nods to Wile E. Coyote from the Looney Tunes. The sign humorously lists other “suspicious” activities to watch for, including a coyote with a catapult or holding a “detour” sign.
