Mexican restaurants really seem to understand their clientele. A sign from El Arroyo in Texas proclaims: “Treat your mom to a margarita. You’re probably the reason she drinks.” It’s a compelling argument, particularly if, like many, you were mainly visiting for the beverages. While the food is likely delicious, the allure of indulging in a margarita or two is hard to resist.
Some patrons suggested that the sign could also have mentioned husbands as another reason people might drink. Perhaps that’s an idea for a future sign.
