To be completely transparent, it’s unclear whether this sign was meant to look this way, was run over by a car, or was actually hit by a plane. The sign warns of low-flying aircraft in the area and appears to have been completely flattened by some high-speed impact. If it was indeed a plane that struck it, that’s rather astonishing given that these signs are usually only about 10 feet tall.
However, the force involved was considerable, as the metal sign didn’t just bend—it snapped right at its base. Anyone who has ever attempted to remove a sign will tell you that’s no easy feat. The evidence seems to suggest that, perhaps, it really was an airplane.
