Garden Eel
Animal Overview: Garden eels are small, burrowing fish that live in colonies on the sea floor. Their habit of peeking out of their burrows gives the appearance of a garden of swaying plants.
Habitat and Behavior: Found in tropical and subtropical waters, garden eels feed on plankton carried by ocean currents. They retreat into their burrows at the slightest hint of danger.
