Boxer Crab
Animal Overview: The boxer crab gets its name from its habit of carrying small sea anemones in its claws, resembling a boxer with gloves. The crab uses the anemones as both a defense mechanism and a food source.
Habitat and Behavior: Found in shallow waters of the Indo-Pacific region, boxer crabs live among rocks and coral reefs. They have a mutualistic relationship with the anemones, gaining protection while providing the anemones with food scraps.
