Hairy Frogfish
Animal Overview: The hairy frogfish is covered in spiny, hair-like appendages that provide excellent camouflage among coral and seaweed. This helps them ambush prey, which they capture with a lightning-fast strike.
Habitat and Behavior: Found in tropical and subtropical oceans, frogfish use their pectoral fins to “walk” along the sea floor. They are masters of disguise, blending seamlessly with their surroundings to surprise prey.
