Spider angiomas are small, spider-like blood vessels visible under the skin and can be a subtle sign of liver cancer. These are often mistaken for harmless skin changes, but multiple spider angiomas can indicate liver issues.
What It Might Mean:
Spider angiomas in liver cancer are caused by increased levels of estrogen, which the liver normally regulates. As the liver’s function declines, these hormone levels rise, leading to the formation of spider angiomas.
