Creating a Safe Space in High School
High school poses various challenges, yet Kendra and Maliyah Herrin have managed to flourish. As formerly conjoined twins, they face unique challenges but have enjoyed a positive high school experience. Using walkers to navigate the school hasn’t set them apart negatively; they’ve shared that they have not faced bullying, a fact for which they are profoundly thankful. Their optimistic approach to life has inspired many, demonstrating that with the right attitude and support, anything is achievable.
Entering high school, they had legitimate concerns about their social experiences. Would they be able to make friends? Could they participate in activities like all the other students?
