Navigating Independence: Mobility Challenges and Solutions
With their newfound independence, Kendra and Maliyah had to get creative about mobility, both at home and outside. Their father came up with an ingenious solution for moving around the house: doctor’s stools, which proved to be an easy and effective way for them to roll around their home. However, finding a suitable mobility solution for outdoor activities remained a challenge.
For longer excursions, such as trips to amusement parks or concerts, they discovered that electric scooters were the perfect solution. For shorter distances, like getting around their high school, they used walkers. This combination allowed them to navigate different environments efficiently.
