A Grueling 26-Hour Surgery
For Kendra and Maliyah, the surgery seemed to last only an hour, but in reality, it extended through a grueling 26 hours. Six highly skilled surgeons, assisted by 25 support staff, worked relentlessly to separate the twins at the torso, resulting in each girl retaining one leg. The post-surgery period proved just as formidable; the twins required a three-month hospital stay to ensure they were on the path to successful recovery and long-term health.
