Further Loss for Whoopi
The string of sorrowful events in Whoopi’s life continued. In 2015, she was absent from “The View” for a period of about a week, a notable departure caused by the passing of her brother.
The cause of death was a brain aneurysm, prompting Whoopi to return home to be with her family and attend her brother’s funeral services. Upon her return to “The View,” a week later, Whoopi expressed her gratitude to viewers for their love and support during her time of mourning, fondly remembering her brother as “an amazing cat.”
