Use Rice and a Sock to Create an Emergency Heat Pack
For most women, period cramps, back pain, and sprains are common occurrences. It goes without saying that a heat pack can be a lifesaver when it comes to pain management. The heat helps to open the blood vessels and can assist the healing process.
So, rather than buying a new heat back from the store, making your own is often faster. All you need is rice and an old sock. Just fill the sock with rice and tie a hair band around the opening and then heat in the microwave for 2-3 minutes and place the sock where the pain is. Genius!
