Absolutely Wild Cases of Feral Children Throughout History
Feral children are children who, for whatever reason, grew up away from other humans, and did not learn the early socialization skills that almost every child does simply by living as part of society. Most of the children in this list lived on their own in the wilderness, sometimes surrounded by animals who took care of them and integrated them into their families.
Instead of learning how to walk and talk like normal children their age, they were learning how to forage for berries and sleep in trees. Since they spent their formative years in the wild, most of them had a very difficult time integrating with society even after they were rescued. Some of them succeeded, while others remained outsiders for the remainder of their lives.
