There Are Consequences for Crew Members if They Fraternize With Guests
While crew members frequently hook up with their coworkers, they are not allowed to fraternize with passengers while on board. In fact, even being suspected of doing so is sometimes enough to get them into big trouble.
This rule is mainly in place to protect the crew from being accused of anything inappropriate and, of course, to also keep the cruise company safe from being sued by a passenger. After all, it’s much easier and less public for a cruise company to take care of issues within its staff than it is to take care of issues involving passengers.
