Pumpkin doesn’t need to be in the fridge until you’ve cut it open
Although many people only add pumpkin to their diet at the end of the year – yes, we’re looking at you, fall – there are others who prefer to find uses for this squash plant throughout the year, whenever you decide to tuck into a delicious serving, it’s important that you remember how to store it correctly.
To maintain the texture, color, and the taste of pumpkin, keep it in a dark and dry cupboard. If you do place it in the refrigerator, you might see it become soggy, colorless, and tasteless. Once you’ve cut into your pumpkin and want to save it for later, you can place it in the refrigerator wrapped in food wrap.
