Fresh and dried oregano both require different storage solutions
Once again, we are faced with two different kinds of people when it comes to how we use oregano. Are you in favor of dried oregano or fresh oregano? Well, if you take the often longer-lasting way out and buy dried oregano, then you don’t need to worry about keeping this herb in a refrigerator.
You can keep it in your cupboard, where it can stay for years. However, fresh oregano is a different story. Although experts suggest you keep your oregano in the refrigerator to keep it fresh, this can encourage it to absorb smells and become contaminated. To combat this, you can instead keep your oregano in a glass filled with water.
