The refrigerator will see crackers absorb unwanted moisture and flavors
Have you ever had a soggy cracker? If you have, there’s a high chance that you vowed never to have another one ever again. As they are designed to be crisp and crack with a snap, you need to make sure that you keep this food in a cool and dry place if you want to keep those qualities.
Placing them in a moist refrigerator won’t do your crackers any favors, because they will immediately absorb the moisture in the air and lose their flavor. If you do have to take your crackers out of their original packaging, make sure you find an airtight container that will keep them fresh and out of harm’s way.
