Peanut butter will start to go hard and dry in the fridge
Peanut butter is pretty delicious, right? You can spread it on your toast, team it up with some jelly, and even bake it into cookies. It’s so yummy – and can be healthy on occasion – that plenty have a jar or two at home. That’s also why it would be a shame to ruin it by storing your peanut butter incorrectly.
So, if you want to preserve your peanut butter, you might want to avoid the refrigerator. If you do put it in this cold and damp space, you might find the peanut butter becomes dry, hard, and even begins to crystallize. This probably isn’t what you want from this spreadable delight, so keep it in a cool, dry place instead.
